Well, well, well...what can I say? To quote Ross Geller from all of our favourite sitcom, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. - I have been taking a much needed 'sabbatical from life'. It's not the first time in my life that I have had to do so, and it sure as hell won't be my last.
However, this time, it's been ever so slightly different. I had to self-isolate at home prior to coming into hospital, and then self-isolating again due to testing positive for, Covid-19. There are not enough words in the world to express how grateful and thankful I am to our fabulous NHS. They put themselves on the front-line 24/7, 366 days a year.
Fortunately my symptoms were mild, and recovery is starting to take its shape. Following my Consultant's orders, and hopefully, it will not be too long before I can return to the comforts of my own home.
My heart also goes out to all of those who have tragically lost their lives; but also those, who in the face of adversity, have done so much fundraising up and down the country for their local communities, and our fantastic NHS superheroes.
I also hope that our doggos have enjoyed their hooman's company during this lockdown phase that we are in.
You take care of you and I'll take care of me x x x x
